“After my departure from the U.S. Navy, I wrestled with internal struggles, feeling expendable and inadequate. I was haunted by dreams of being deployed overseas again and was a prisoner of rage and unending bitterness. Finally, I reached out to the Runnin’ Free Ranch in Ennis, TX, for help. At first, I scoffed at the concept of a “horsey” helping me cope with my inner struggles. I am truly happy and blessed to say that I was 100% wrong! This beautiful horse, Sevin, captivated by heart from the first day. Our therapy sessions have comprised of laughter, tears, frustration, and release of tension that I’ve never experienced before. When I look into Sevin’s eyes during our sessions, I do just not see a horse that was rescued from a kill pen. I see a creation of God that was also given the same assurance that HE was not expendable, either. I see an archangel Michael specifically placed in my life to help me resist the Evil One when he places those voices of deception in my heart and in my mind.
