“Twelve-year-old Damion has Lesch-Nyhan syndrome. He is in a wheelchair, unable to stand or walk without assistance. I got his pony for him when he was 1-year-old, so they have grown together over the years. His pony’s name is Firecracker and he has always been very sweet and good-natured with Damion. He stands very still for him whether it’s sitting on his back or just hugs and kisses. Damion loves to go see his pony every chance he gets.”

—Cindy, Damion’s grandmother
