“Smoke is a bay Quarter Horse and he is our go-to horse for beginner children [at Lets Saddle Up]. At 15 hands he’s just the right size for side walkers. He’s 19 years old and had various careers as a roping horse, barrel racer, western pleasure, and lesson horse. Now he’s won his crown as a therapy horse.

He is used with autistic children, he is used with able-bodied riders, he can be used with adults in ground equine therapy. He travels well, has been on the American Heart Association beach ride for three years. His good nature makes him an easy horse for children to work around, groom, saddle, and mount.” —Sharon D.
